Step 4:
Print out copies of online pricing. Many veterinarians--whether they advertise so or not--will price match with online pet medication sites so that they can retain your business and also to ensure that your pet is getting quality medications.
Step 5:
Bring the list, copies of online prices, and your pet's current heartworm preventative prescription with you. Your pet's record will have their prescription in it, but bring it with you anyway. It will save time and ensure that both you and your vet know exactly which medication your pet is on.
