How to Make Natural Puppy Shampoo

Puppies don't need to be bathed often, but if your little one decides to take a romp through a mud puddle or finds something wonderfully stinky to roll in, a trip to the bathtub will definitely be in order. An all natural, gentle shampoo is the best choice for your puppy's tender skin and baby-fine fur. Follow this easy recipe for homemade, natural puppy shampoo and your little one will be squeaky clean and sweet-smelling in no time.

Step 1

Wash your plastic bottle well with soap and hot water. Make sure that it is free of dust or residue of any kind.
All-natural shampoo is gentle on puppy's skin and fur.

Step 2

Combine 2 cups distilled water, 1 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/2 cup 100 percent vegetable liquid glycerin, 2 tbsp. aloe vera gel and 2 tsp. liquid castille soap in your plastic bottle.

Step 3

Tighten the lid of the plastic bottle and shake the shampoo mixture vigorously until it is thoroughly blended. After using, store in a cool place for up to one month.
Keep the shampoo out of your puppy's eyes, nose, mouth and ears.

I have a Maltese that has the black/brown crusty stuff they get near their eyes. I clean his eyes daily with a wash cloth and have tried every product I could find to keep him from having this problem but nothing works. Could someone please give advise on this subject. Thank you in advance. Merry Christmas.

Texas: Try cutting back on the amount of meat in the dogs diet. Absolutely no canned foods. Give your dog freshly cooked veggies, small amounts of raw meat, rice, raw eggs, raw bones (chicken/lamb), cooked lentils... I never give my dog any bread/flour/cookies/corn flour/sweets or dried dog food from supermarket. I make my own dry dog food with mince meat fan-dried in the oven or food drier. Hope this helps.
