Instructions

  • Step 1:
Go to the Talk to the Vet website (see resources). This website is full of pet information, frequently asked questions and offers the opportunity to talk with professionals.
  • Step 2:
Click on the "Vet Finder" option from the "Vet Info" drop-down menu.
  • Step 3:
Choose a veterinarian from your state. Click on the vet's name to obtain contact information and available hours. If a local vet isn't available, continue to Step 4.
  • Step 4:
Purchase a membership plan by clicking on the "Consulting Plans" option from the top of the screen. After choosing a plan, you'll be prompted to sign up with information about yourself and your pet. You can then thoroughly write out your questions or ask advice from a veterinarian professional.

Tips & Warnings

  • If it's an absolute emergency, immediately take the pet to a 24-hour animal hospital. Also, try contacting your own vet if possible; you might be able to get advice over the phone for free.
