Instructions

  • Step 1:
Determine what type of Canadian Geese you have. If your geese only stay in your yard for a day or two, then they are probably the migrating version and they will leave on their own. However, if your Canadian Geese have set up shop in your yard or neighborhood then they are a non-migrating variety. These you will have to deal with in order to get rid of them.
  • Step 2:
Enlist the help of a herding dog. Herding dogs, like collies, have been very effective at getting rid of Canadian Geese. They herd the geese until the geese get fed up and move on to a new location.
  • Step 3:
Buy a goose repellent. There are several chemical repellents on the market that you can buy. These products use biodegradable, non-toxic substance that taste and smell bad to the geese. This is a very effective method for getting rid of Canadian Geese.
  • Step 4:
Rid your yard of Canadian Geese using audio repellents. Audio repellents use Canadian Geese warning and danger calls to scare away geese. This is a very humane way to get rid of your yard invaders. You will need to buy one audio repellent system for each 5 to 7 acres of land.

Tips & Warnings

  • Some states have laws against chasing off Canadian Geese once they have nested. Because of this you will want to make sure that you implement your strategies to get rid of the geese in your yard before they build a nest and lay eggs.
