Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Climbing and resting perches
  • Litter box
  • Windows with screens
  • Toys: bags, boxes, balls, catnip-stuffed mice, fishing poles, feathers
  • Step 1:
Place perches where your cat can look out the window. Preferably, place each perch next to a window with screens. It is amazing how much pleasure they get just sitting for hours, smelling scents from outside and listening to sounds.
  • Step 2:
Keep your cat's litter box pristinely clean. Little things like a clean box really make her day.
  • Step 3:
Spread an array of toys around the living room. Place some on or near the perch. Suspend them from tables. Play a game of hiding toys and also edible goodies for your cat. Watch her go bananas when she finds the hidden treasures.

Tips & Warnings

  • Get your cat microchipped, so you can track him if he does get out.
  • Get your friend spayed or neutered as well, just in case she manages to get out and carouse.
