How to Jump on a Trampoline

Step 1:
Hop on. How you get on your trampoline will depend on how it's set up. Some trampolines have ladders that make climbing on easy, but others will require a big jump, or maybe even a boost from a friend.Step 2:
Take it slow. If it is your first time on a trampoline, or even your first time on a particular trampoline, you need to get used to how it reacts to your motions. Start by flexing and extending your legs, and you will start bouncing gently.Step 3:
Take it one step further. As you get used to the up and down motion of the trampoline, you can start flexing and extending your legs with more force. This will make you jump off the trampoline's surface. When you land, bend your knees to help absorb some of the shock, then repeat the process.Step 4:
Experiment with different types of jumps once you have the basic jump down. A common first beyond the basic jump is done by lifting your legs so that they're perpendicular to your body, landing on your bottom and bouncing back up to your feet. With some practice, you can learn to do flips, twists and other maneuvers to diversify your trampoline workout or fun time.Step 5:
Be safe. Everyone who jumps on a trampoline should use spotters, and children should always have adult supervision. There shouldn't be more than one person jumping on the trampoline at a time.
