How to Keep Rodents Out Of Your Home Without Traps Or Poison

  • Step 1:
    Purchase heavy gauge steel wool. Enough to encircle all the pipes entering and exiting your home. If you have any cracks larger that an eigth of an inch, consider those when purchasing steel wool
  • Step 2:
    Stuff steel wool around all pipes and in all cracks that are exposed to the ouside.
  • Step 3:
    Secure all screens and doors to ensure that there is no opening for rodents to enter
  • Step 4:
    Keep pet food bowls indoors, or remove them after feeding and bags of pet food should be kept in a sealed container.
  • Step 5:
    Keep fruit that has fallen from trees cleared
  • Step 6:
    Keep ivy or dense ground cover down to discourage nesting and reduce areas to hide
