Instructions

  • Step 1:
Get regular check-ups for your pet at a vet who is familiar with dingoes. Have baseline blood work and other tests done so that you will have something to compare new tests to. Consider appropriate vaccinations and other preventative care for your pet dingo to keep him from getting ill.
  • Step 2:
Pay close attention to changes in your dingo's activity levels, weight, food intake and feces. Significant changes in these areas warrant a closer look for possible illnesses. Although small changes in these areas will happen from time to time, you will need to observe large changes carefully.
  • Step 3:
Watch for fleas, mites and other insect issues. Check with your vet for appropriate prevention and care if infestation or bites do occur. Particular locations and times of the year can be worse than others for such problems.
  • Step 4:
Examine your dingo regularly for injuries, hair loss or other physical signs of illness, like vomiting or weakness. There may be many causes for such symptoms so it's important to read up on dingo care and have a knowledgeable vet. Catching symptoms early can prevent bigger problems in the long run.
  • Step 5:
Watch for symptoms like fever, coughing, lethargy or discharge from the eyes or nose. These symptoms can indicate respiratory or other illnesses.
