How to Make Peanut Butter Lollipop Dog Treats

Things You’ll Need:

16 ounces, salt-free creamy peanut butter
Microwaveable bowl
Lollipop candy molds or muffin tin
Compressed rawhide sticks or bully sticks
Cooking spray
Plastic cling wrap

Step 1:
Spoon the peanut butter into the microwaveable bowl. Consider using a glass bowl, as microwaving food in plastic can cause phthalates to leach into the food.
Step 2:
Microwave the peanut butter to a pourable consistency. Heat it in short increments to avoid boiling the peanut butter.
Step 3:
Spray your pan or molds with cooking spray. For larger dogs, you may use a muffin tin. For smaller dogs or for dogs that are watching their weight, a lollipop candy mold may be a better size.
Step 4:
Spoon or pour the softened peanut butter into the pan or mold. Fill each cup or mold about 3/4 full. Wait 5 minutes.
Step 5:
Press the rawhide or bully sticks into the peanut butter. The top of the stick should be covered by the peanut butter. Place in the refrigerator overnight. Use only compressed rawhide or bullysticks. Never use wooden or plastic sticks.
Step 6:
Remove the peanut butter lollipop dog treats from the refrigerator. Take them out of the pan or mold and wrap them individually in plastic wrap. You may also wish to store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
Step 7:
Keep one peanut butter lollipop out to give your dog. Ask for an obedience behavior or a trick that he has learned and give it to him.

Use natural, unsalted, no sugar added peanut butter
Use these treats for training, ask for a behavior and reward with one lick of the treat.
Do not feed your dog too many treats
