Get Puppy Paperwork In Order

Step 1:
Before you can sell a puppy, vaccinations will have to be given. Paperwork proving the vaccinations were done at the appropriate time will be furnished by the veterinarian administering the shots. When transferring a puppy across state lines in the U.S. it is necessary to show proof of Rabies vaccination.Keep all puppy veterinary paperwork together in a file separated for each individual puppy.
Step 2:
Type a contract of sale to include all the state requirements for both the online seller and purchaser. These state laws can be easily found through Google. Any state laws will override your written contract.Make the contract clear. Include exactly what is expected from both parties involved in the online puppy sale and be prepared to follow through.Include any health guarantees you are providing in the on-line puppy sale.
Step 3:
If you are selling a purebred puppy online, have all of the registration papers for the puppy prior to the sale. Keep any genealogy paperwork together with the registration paperwork.

Step 2:
Decide on the price of puppies to be sold online. Shop the breed competition by Googling "(specific breed) puppies for sale".Shop the larger puppy sales web sites such as: PuppyFinders.com, Livedeal.com, Petsunlimited.com.Selling puppies online is not a profitable business, it should only be done to better distribute a quality line of a particular breed of dog. Profits can be made from training puppies or blogging about puppies and pets, not from the sale of dogs.It is easy to open your own website or blog to sell puppies online, and I highly suggest this. Shop the other sites as well, it is always good to network. Leave comments on other blogs and forums to show you have knowledge about puppies, and learn as much as you can from others.This is the time to decide how the puppy will be delivered. Decide whether the puppy will be flown to its new owner or if someone will drive it. I do not recommend flying a puppy if you are a beginner, get some assistance from a mentor in your area. Be sure to include any fees incurred in delivery of the puppy in the final selling price.
Step 3:
Open a Paypal account. Paypal takes all major credit cards and can be linked directly to a personal bank account, or a debit card can be issued for instant access to funds. This is without a doubt the easiest and safest way to sell puppies online today.
Step 4:
List the puppies for sale in a free ad. There are thousands of web sites that provide free classified ads for selling puppies online. Look the site over before you list the puppies, make sure it is a site you want to be associated with. Make the listing stand out by being as descriptive as possible and always include a recent picture. Use keywords in the listing as you would any other sales ad. Have people reply directly to your email account or better yet set up a simple website or blog where prospective buyers can see pictures and videos of the puppies.
Step 5:
When you have come to terms with an online buyer for the puppy, fax all contracts to be signed. Arrange for the delivery of the pet and confirm payment. Schedule a veterinary visit prior to delivery and get a health certificate for the dog.
Step 6:
Deliver the puppy to the new owners. Follow up with the new puppy owners in a couple of weeks (if you haven't heard from them), to make sure all is well. This is the time to offer paid training courses or pet sitting/grooming services if possible. Do this one time only, then respond to questions. Do not continue to solicit or stay attached to the puppies in any way unless asked.

Always screen perspective buyers for the health and safety of the puppies.
Stay active on social networks such as MySpace.com and FaceBook.com, put videos of the puppies on YouTube.com. Be as creative as possible when the puppies are growing up and they could become virtual stars prior to the listing. They sell themselves!
Selling a puppy or any other animal over the Internet is serious business. If you are not an experienced animal breeder or handler, do not attempt this.
There are laws that are strictly enforced in the transfer of animals across state lines. In addition, airlines have strict rules on when and where animals may be transported.
Never sell a puppy under 12 weeks of age, this is the youngest age for Rabies vaccination (most veterinarians prefer to wait until 16 weeks).
Puppy breeding is not a business where a profit can be made and should not be treated as one. The profits should be made in the care and training of the dogs.
