Instructions

  • Step 1:
Try to remain calm. Running towards two dogs that are fighting and yelling for them to stop will not do any good, it can even make them more riled up by adding another element of disorder to the fight.
  • Step 2:
The best case scenario is when two people are present so that you are not alone. If this is the case, both of you need to walk up to the dogs from behind and firmly grab their hind legs.
  • Step 3:
After both of you have a good grip of the dogs you need to lift up their hind legs and pull them backwards. As you are walking backwards you should also spin the dog in a circular motion, but not very fast, just enough so that the dog can keep its balance on the front legs.
  • Step 4:
By turning in a circular motion you prevent the dog from turning around and attacking you because he or she is trying not to fall.
  • Step 5:
Now you need to separate the dogs by pulling them into an enclosure where they can cool off by themselves.

Tips & Warnings

  • Never grab the dogs by their collars to break up a fight, it will almost always result in you being bitten.
