Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Dog stocking
  • Dog stocking-stuffers
  • Step 1:
Visit your local pet supply store for your stocking-stuffer items. Keep in mind the size of your pooch's stocking so you purchase enough items. Remember to purchase small items so the stocking is full but not overly stuffed. If you are on a tight budget, visit your local dollar supply store for your items.
  • Step 2:
Look for food items such as a bag of treats or a flavor bone. Consider any special dietary requirements that your dog may have to avoid an emergency trip to the veterinary hospital on Christmas Day.
  • Step 3:
Purchase a few of your dog's favorite toys such as stuffed animals or a plastic toy. While the rest of the family is tearing into gifts, your dog can tear into these toys. Just be prepared to pick up toy stuffing and torn pieces if your dog tends to chew through the toys.
  • Step 4:
Add a ball such as a tennis or racquetball to the stocking for some outdoor fun after all of the presents are opened.
  • Step 5:
Select a new collar or leash to replace the old one. If your four-legged friend tends to get overly excited when with the sight of a leash, you may consider omitting this item.
  • Step 6:
Place your items in the stocking, arranging them to fit properly. Do this when your furry friend is not around, otherwise he will plant himself below the stock or try to take it down.
