Instructions

  • Step 1:
Position your pet in your lap. If you are putting Soft Paws on a large dog, have her lay down on the floor.
  • Step 2:
Trim the tips of your pet's nails. Be sure not to trim too far. You only need to trim off the tips so that your pet's claws are not sharp.
  • Step 3:
Fill the Soft Paw 1/3 full with the accompanying adhesive.
  • Step 4:
Slide the cap onto your pet's nail. If you are using Soft Paws on a cat, extend the cat's nails by placing your thumb on the top of his paw and your fingers on the bottom of his paw and gently squeezing.
  • Step 5:
Observe your pet for at least five minutes to give the adhesive time to dry. Praise your pet and give her a treat to get her used to having Soft Paws applied and know it is a positive thing.

Tips & Warnings

  • There is no need to remove Soft Paws. The nail caps will fall off as your pet's claws grow naturally. Check your pet's claws often to see if there are any Soft Paws missing and replace them as needed.
  • Soft Paws come in many colors. Be creative and use Soft Paws as a way to dress up your pet.
