How to teach a dog to flip a treat on his nose

Flip a Treat on his Nose

Step 1:
Purchase treats for your dog, preferably ones shaped like a bone so they will sit flat on the dog’s nose.
Step 2:
Tell your dog to sit and stay.
Step 3:
Place the treat on the middle of the dog’s snout.
Step 4:
Hold the dog’s snout together so the dog doesn’t move too soon and cause the treat to fall.
Step 5:
Remove your hands from the dog’s snout and say "Get it!"
Step 6:
If the treat drops on the floor, try to pick it up before the dog eats it. The dog should not be praised for doing the trick incorrectly.

Tips & Warnings

Continued practice makes perfect.
If the dog is having trouble getting the treat, give the dog a break.
