Roux is a Dogue de Bordeaux (also known as a French Mastiff). We got him in May and already he's doubled in weight. The vet said he should be about 160lbs!!! In french his name means: a mixture of wheat flour and fat used to make traditional french sauces; which is the same tan color. He was apart of a litter of ten, which is unusual for the breed. He has been a great friend to our Westhighland, and a gentle soul to the cat and visitors.
Add to FavoritesHe is absolutely adorable...He truly looks like a big baby! Enjoy him and give him and his westie all sorts of hugs & kisses!
Wow, another Dogue that sleeps with his front paws curled under. How sweet! Enjoy your sweet entertaining pup! He will make you laugh until you hurt! Mine still does at the age of three! He's is so very handsome
"Roux" is very beautiful. I once owned a Mastiff and he has the same Gentle, loving look about him. Will he be more "Reddish" when he is older? The ones I have seen here in America are. Mine was an English Mastiff and was Fawn and Black. "Roux" is a LOVE. Just beautiful. Kind of outgrowing the doggie door? Hugs to Roux from Elizabeth and Miss Katie =O)
keep us updated on huge he'll be :) we have a westie pup and want her playmate to be a big rescue pooch for her to bounce about with because she's a huge dog in a tiny body!
Beautifull dog :]
