Hi my name is Ace! I am a very sweet boy. Let me tell you my story. I was rescued by my Mom and Dad from the local Humane Society in 2011. They saw me online and came in to visit me. They decided they couldn't leave without me so now I have a new home! When they brought me home, I was pretty skinny and sick. You see, I was left at the Humane Society after my old owners lost me. I was found with my collar and leash attached. They saw me on the website and called about me... They did not want me back :( Somehow I think it was planned that way... I was very sad and lonely and didn't feel like eating much while I was in the kennel. I was pretty sick when my new parents brought me home. I had a terrible cough that really hurt my chest. I couldn't breathe right when I was coughing so hard. Mom thought it was kennel cough, so we went to the doctor. The doctor said said that I had gone through so much with surgery (neutering...Don't want to talk about that!) and that I wasn't eating right, I was so run down that I had just gotten sick. After lots of antibiotics and lots of love, I'm feeling great now! I love my new home! I have lots of room to run and I love to play with my "cousin" Mia. We take lots of walks together! I love to chase the ball, and also the small animals in the yard. Mom has had to chase me a couple times, but I came back! I can't help it! I love to chase the bunnies! It's in my blood to run :) Dad and I play tag in the house, he chases me and I chase him. I jump on him and wrestle. I love going for car rides too! I always put my paws up on the center console in between the 2 front seats and put my head in between them too. I don't want to miss anything sitting all the way in the back seat! I'm a very friendly and funny husky. I always have to know where my parents are in the house. I follow them wherever they go. I have to make sure there are no other secret exits out of the bedrooms or bathrooms, so I make sure they are still there! I love the treats Mom brings home from the treat bar at Petco. I love walks and running. I'm no longer sick, and I have filled out now from the regular food and love I get here. I now have a nice soft bed to sleep on, and am now allowed on the couch. Mom and Dad said no at first, but they don't care anymore because I'm so cuddly and cute! I love people, and I love to give them kisses and like to sit on laps when someone allows me. Sometimes I forget that I am not a lap dog! I'm so glad I found my forever home. I was worried because Huskies have a reputation of being a challenge and being very hairy. I try to help mom sweep, I sit on the floor and wag my tail, (at least I got one section of the floor swept!). I'm so happy that my parents over looked that about me and gave me a second chance. I am also glad that there are people who work in the shelter who really love pets and volunteer their time at shelters so other dogs like me can find loving homes the way I did. I hope every dog in every shelter finds a forever home. It felt so hopeless laying in a kennel for weeks, and now look at me, I'm on the Daily Puppy! :)
