Amiee was a great hound dog. When we first got her she was insanely jumpy. It took us a year to get her to even walk out the front door with her lease on. She ran away twice in the first few months because she broke her lease when she got scared on a walk due to a car engine starting. The first time we got a call from animal control and picked her up at the shelter. The second time she was gone for 3 days and suddenly she reappeared on the back porch. When we let her in she had part of her lease still attached to her collar and she ran upstairs and dove under the covers on the bed. Her nickname was "Stinky" for reasons I probably don't need to explain. She loved to run around her forest and swim in her creek. Sadly, she passed away in June 2004. She was an angel.
