All in the Family

Biography: Annie von Augsburg is an adorable 16 month old Keeshond, Golden Retriever, maybe a touch of Chow. We have volunteers in the shelters looking for German Shepherds who need help. Annie caught our volunteer’s eye, she was just so adorable and had such a happy personality, she just knew Annie could bring some sunshine into someone’s life. We often have people coming for a full sized German Shepherd but on second thought a 40 pound sweetie pie can often be a better choice. Annie is very gentle, she has a good energy level and can do anything, but she can settle down and sleep right by your feet. She likes to jump up to say “hello” but it is so gentle and light, it isn’t really a problem. Annie met kids, tons of dogs on leashes and two teenage kittens in a wire crate, neither the cats nor Annie were interested. She was trying to figure out how she could get her tongue through the wire to sneak a taste of cat food, however. So we can add that she is resourceful and smart, plus she will lick her dinner clean!
