Atreyu is a gentle giant with beautiful blue eyes. He loves everything. His best friend is our little Husky Nikita. They make an odd pair as he is 100+lbs and she's only 24lbs. ALSO, HE THINKS HE IS A LAP DOG. Next to playing with Nikita, he loves rope toys. We adopted him from petsafe. After seeing his picture in the paper month after month, we just had to adopt him. We made a good decision, but our Husky Boris hates him. Hopefully, someday they will be friends...fingers crossed+

Awww, he's a big lap baby. My boy Diesel is just shy of 60 pounds now, but still growing by the second and definitely thinks he's still a lapdog! I can't believe Atreyu is 100 pounds! What a giant mass of love :)

I figured it was about time I commented on teh rest of your dogs. Atreyu is a really nice dog, it seems like you have a love for SH's. I have a love for all mix breeds, I figured it was time to go for a pure bred whren I bought Baya though. My 120 pound Courage thinks he's a lap dog too. Most of the time, he's happy with just one leg hiked up on my lap or sitting in that small space between my legs. When we rest on the park bench, he'll jump up next to me and sit on my lap. You should see the smiles & hear the giggles as people walk by. The big ones are just too funny, love it.

Atreyu, you remind me soo much of my Teddy Dog who was a lab/mix who was the BESTEST DOG!!! his facial features were a lot like yours (except he had a black-spotted tongue)and he also had a bushy tail - I can't tell about yours but his curled over his back. 4yrs later, I still have crying spells over memories of him. it sounds like you are just as special as he was!! Did him and Boris ever became friends? I doubt it, Boris seems like an Alpha dog. But I hop you still have Atreyu. Black dogs are harder to adopt in shelters.He seems such a gentle should. Hugs & kisses to all of your fury friends.
