All in the Family

Biography: Hi there! My name is Barney and as you can see, I'm a border collie. As a puppy I lived with a lady who was mean to me and made me frightened all the time. I didn't like her one bit, so I was very glad when another family let me live them. Unfortunately, they didn't seem to understand how scary new things and people were to me, or why I liked herding their children! I didn't mean to be naughty but they told me I was... Just as I was getting really worried and confused, a new lady said I could live with her family - forever! Now I live with my humans, another dog called Dilly and a hamster too! I'm five years old now and have been living with my family for 3 and 1/2 years. I love it here, everyday I go on lovely long walks in the countryside, and at home mum helps me learn new tricks (she says I'm very clever and I always get loads of treats!). I am a lot braver now and have even visited an old people's home this year, so that all the people there could say hello to me and pat me!! I love playing with my toys (anyone for a game of fetch?), running circles round people, looking for squirrels and having cuddles!
