Barucha is my second Aussie. Her sis was Cardigan, an Aussie-X, who padded softly by me from 1987-2003. Barucha means "blessed/blessing" in Hebrew and she is that. She delights me everyday by 'wuffling' with a baby-bunny slipper-in her mouth. She also takes a baby to nap on the bed and makes 'puppy bread' with her feet just like a kitty would do or a pup on its mommie's tummy. She also does this, when she lays across my tummy, at bedtime. She has been known to race around the yard with baby in mouth and then stop dead to "hurry", our word for tinkle. If she drops the baby, I say "go get your baby" and another race begins to fetch that wayward toy. She loves ice cubes and always comes when she hears the freezer door open. She will show her tummy on command, as will her brother and sister. And the garden hose is a wonderful moving toy that must be turned on just for her. Forget that the tomatoes or peppers need watering. She's my sweet BaaLou, Pups, Sweeters, Loukins, Pupkins and Fuzzbutt. I hope I have her around to love as long as Cardigan (or longer).
