Blizzard was left tied to a fence with no food or water when his previous family skipped out on their rent. He was heartworm positive. The rescue folks decided he was just too wonderful to euthenize, so they pulled him through the cure. He came to us to be a friend for Cheyenne and his loving, happy demeanor charmed everyone who ever met him. The day we had to have him put down (cancer), everyone in the vet's office was in tears. We miss him every minute of every day.

I really feel for your loss. I lost my beautiful Sam, a german shepherd a while ago and I know how much it hurts. Blizzard was a gorgeous boy. How could someone have just left him so cruelly. It's just incomphensible! I hope they get the karma they deserve. Take care. Kiki

that is so sad... my dog cochise died from cancer too. I know how you feel. I thought id never stop crying and stop hurting but when we got a new dog it helped me heal. I hope someday youll feel better. Best wishes, Brobro

People can be cruel. But I'm glad he found you, to give him a loving and fruitful life. We just recently had to put one of our kitties down - It was very hard.

I'm so glad he was able to spend the rest of his life in a loving home. I know exactly how you feel- I lost my whit shepherd too. Such wonderful dogs.

You must be very sad. I found a stray German Shepherd but I couldn't keep her. It was so hard to see her go. If you can find any more pictures of Blizzard I would love to see them. I'm so sorry for you. I hope your other dogs are as good as he was. :C

I have to stop looking at people's departed pets, there's little that's more depressing. Sigh. Lovely face, I'm glad he got a second chance after a rough start.
