Hi Friends...my name is BOO! Because my new Dad's favorite song is "Me and You and a Dog Named Boo...travelin' and a livin' off the land. Well let me tell you we traveled alright all the way from N.C. to the boonies of PA. (we didn't live off the land though we ate at Wendy's) So it goes... I woke up one morning and there they were...my new mom and dad and Runner.(Runner is my doggie brother) Boy was I excited and scared...yes I have to admit I was really, really scared. Dad had to carry me to the car...you see the first part of my life was not so fun. I was starved and abused. Tied to a tree and beaten. Rescued at 8 months, weighing only 11 lbs., I had to spend another 3 months in the can. But justice prevailed and my abuser went to jail. So you can understand now why I was so scared. I had lost all my trust in the human species. But then there was Runner...give me another of my own species to be with and I am in heaven. Runner didn't really care for me all that much that day...you know jealousy...but he was my shining star. Come to show me the way home. So home we came to meet Jackson, Hilux and The CAT! I have a real doggie life now! I go outside for walks with my new mom and to play with my 3 doggie brothers. Than come in to play with my CAT. He is my cat you know...he told me so! I sleep on a big doggie bed with Jackson, it's the best thing next to peanut butter and I love peanut butter! There is this huge bowl of doggie food and I can eat when ever I want...all I want! My new mom says I am doin really good at the housebreaking thing. My new vet says there is no lasting physical damage. Just all the mental damage but we're working on that. But let me tell you it was not so easy at first. I was scared of everything... any fast movement... any arm raised... any leg lifted... any voice elevated... the stairs up...the stairs down. My new dad with his uniform on...YIKES! His big boots...EEK! Opening doors terrified me. Any door even the fridge door till I learned that when that door opens it usually means a slice of cheese...YUM! But the biggest thing I am learning is to trust again...slowly...oh so slowly. According to some paper I was born on June 26, 2009 but if you ask me my life started on May 1, 2010 the minute I started that long ride home with Runner. Home to my forever home...my new mom told me so! Now every night before I go to sleep I get kisses and hugs from my new mom and dad and I give them little Boo kiss's back. Hey it's been real nice meetin all of you and tellin you my story but to me my story has just begun so I'll be back with more from time to time. So stop back and say Hi! Talk to you soon. Boo HEY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!! Today's my birthday and I am two years old today and LOVIN' LIFE! OHHH it's such a relief to be not so scared anymore! I'm so happy... I smile all the time now that I can be me! My Mom and Dad want to say THANK YOU to all the rescue people who helped them save me and now I get to celebrate another year of Lovin' Life!
