I had two brothers once. they were foxhounds named Cookie and Lucky. Cookie was poisned (we think) but he came home (he had been gone and lost for a while) to die in the doghouse. His three legged brother Lucky (he was hit by a car and his leg couldnt be saved) was devistated!!! He was always off on his own and i suppose eating skunks and gross stuff like that....... well once he died during a storm. Well ecleast our pups are in heaven with each other and will never be separated!!!!

They were both very cute. The only down side to having a dog is that we tend to out live them. I still cry over my Happy and Bear. They have been gone for over 20 years and I still miss them so very much.

these pix have brought back memories and i sit here crying - although you were very fortunate to grow up with pets to love, you also had to experience the devastating loss of those beloved friends - i was an adult when i lost my first pet, my Jimi kitty and i was completely unprepared although i am an emergency/trauma nurse, i had the worse time with my kitty! but my first dog was just yrs ago and i am STILL devastated!! i also have to tell you that you are my hero! your dogs are all soooo beautiful and by looking at your pix it is obvious that they are NOT kept outdoors, are very healthy, VERY,VERY spoiled and VERY, VERY,VERY loved. It takes a very special person to rescue and appropriately take care of pets. you are also teaching your children these special traits. i have to send you lots of love and hugs, too!!! (i better skip the licks) thanks for being one of those loving special people. if it wouldn't mean divorce i would have more than 2 dogs and 2 cats in my home!! May God Bless You!!
