Brock is a typical aussie- a good mix of both business and pleasure. When he is "on" he is all business- watching for squirrels and crows, on walks and at the dog park, sniffing to see who was where and when, surveying the world, etc. But he is also able to switch "off" and show his goofy, fun loving, playful side. Seeing him run full speed in front of a trail of 4 or 5 dogs at the park, tongue flapping out the side of his mouth, seeing his little nub wag, and watching him jump fences at the dog park just for the pure joy of it, brings me indescribable amounts of happiness. He is the light of my life. Brock is a little bit of a bad ass, and is very often a complete jack ass to other dogs for no reason other than he just didnt want to be sniffed, or doesnt like they way they look or smell! And quite frankly, I adore that about him. He absolutely has a mind of his own, and is beyond intelligent. He is not like a lab or a golden. He doesnt need someone to tell him what to do all the time. He isnt needy or clingy. But he absolutely adores me, and I him. He enjoys swimming, walks, playing "find it"- scavenging for hidden treats in the house, chewing, digging, dissecting stuffies and cardboard boxes, hiking, herding dogs at the park, chasing crows, squirrely hunting, catching flies, rolling in the grass and of course smelly and/or dead things, playing tug, humping golden retrievers, camping, snowshoeing, going to the beach, meeting new people, and basically being where the action is.
