Pet rescued Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. I have had her for almost 1 1/2 yrs. Perfect puppy. Everything good you read about Ridgebacks is true. Loving, smart, great temperament and great with kids, vigilant (ensuring "her zone" is kept lion free), non-destructive (doesn't mess with anything not hers), doesn't beg for food (but may hover and wait for scraps with a hard to deny look), loves to play but equally happy just lazing around. She even calmly tolerates her baths. She runs and plays with her neighborhood friends regularly... loves her freedom outdoors and well-behaved and calm indoors. She quickly learned all the basic commands and a few tricks for fun, always willing to perform in exchange for a treat. We enjoy watching that ridge pop up when she senses trouble. She's 60 lbs of lovin' lionhound. Couldn't imagine a better companion. Hard to believe she sat in rescue two years without anyone scooping her up. We knew immediately when we met her she was the one, and we were 100% on the money. She is definitely my daughters' favorite friend.
