Chippy was one of the 6 puppies born from Patchy, who passed away 1 day after her birth. Chippy's mother was too old to be giving birth and had difficulties. It took her 2 full days to finish giving birth, thus causing too much blood being lost. Chippy was the only survivor because without a mother, the puppies contracted pneumonia. My family hand-fed the puppies every 2 hours on shifts but only managed to save Chippy. Chippy now still has lung problems but is happy and active.
