After Eli died things weren't the same without a dog around. It was just too quiet, so my dad surprised us with a new puppy on our way to my grandparents house. I remember the lady brought our the mom and dad and 4 little beagle puppies to our car and told us to choose one. Of course we chose the most lively one! A couple years later Chloe had puppies with my Aunt's beagle Chewy. We found them all loving homes with responsible people. Then about 3 months after we went camping over the fourth of July. Chloe was scared to death of loud firework and thunder noises and escaped the camper when my dad opened the door. We look and looked for her all night long I had to go back to the camper I was sobbing and thought I was going to throw up because I was afraid of what might happen to our scared little dog. The last they saw her was running in front of a car almost getting hit and jumping into the river. We left the campground without a dog that day. About a week later our friends that live down the river from the campground called us and said they found Chloe's body dead in the water. My dad went after work to pick it up so we could bury her in our back yard. We ended up moving from that house to another and it was so hard leaving our Chloe's body and grave behind. I miss her waking me up every morning, going on walks to the lake and playing ball in the yard with her. Chloe will never be forgotten.
