Cookie is a Shih Tzu. She is a rescue dog and the owner's originally told us that she was a Lhaso Apso. Our groomer told us otherwise. We adopted her when she was 6 months old and she has adjusted well to our household. She also has a friend named Ripley who is an 11 year old Bichon Frise. Ripley is a therapy dog and we hope to train Cookie to be a therapy dog as well.

Oh my gosh - What a perfect little face - Cookie is gorgeous & such a girl! I would love to do therapy dog work with Oscar, but he needs to settle down a bit more. I think it's wonderful that you do this with your pups. It's so beneficial for the people you visit - old or young and for you & your dogs. Congratulations. Hugs to you all from me & Oscar.

My wife didn't mention that we rescued Cookie from a less than desirable environment when she was 6 months old. She was held captive in a small fenced area with 4 big dogs and had not had her 1st shots and was skinny with a limp--now she runs on 4 acres and is at normal weight and no more limp--Go Cookie--
