Da Bao was picked up with her mother and 3 brothers in February wandering the streets of Shanghai. She was bailed out for 5,000 yuan (approx. $761) by a very generous Chinese woman who has two dogs of her own. She could not bear to see the dogs discarded. The pups were still nursing so she kept them for a few weeks and then brought Da Bao (big baby) to an adoption day in Shanghai put on by Jaiwa's Animal Rescue. They put on a great event and we met our pup Da Bao there. She was very much a mommas girl and was very shy. Since adoption she has been coming out of her shell and starting to nibble and interact better with more people. We are thrilled to have saved this adorable puppy in Shanghai!
