All in the Family

Biography: Dakota is a mix of lab, chow, shepard and sheltie. She will be 15 in December. She has always been the best dog. With her lab personality she always wants to please and never gets into any trouble. Her favorite game has always been fetch and she loves to spend the summer sitting on the steps in the pool. Now that she's in her senior years she enjoys a good afternoon nap. She is such a happy girl. About 4 years ago she tore her ACL and PCL in her right hind knee. We had it repaired and wouldn't you know it, 3 months later she did it again! After her second surgery she did great til about 5 months ago when she did it for a third time. But since she's 14 they won't do surgery, which is probably for the best. She still is able to move around real well even with her knee being so bad, but it keeps her from being able to play for any length of time. So instead of getting in the tumbling mix with her two siblings, she sits on the side lines with me watching the other two be nuts. She may be old, but she's still my baby!
