We found DINGO one night behind a row of apartment buildings in Chicago, eating from a cardboard pizza box. His left leg was swollen and bleeding. His short coat was filthy and one eye was encrusted shut. It was impossible to tell how long he had been on the streets. We brought him home and took him to our veterinarian. Several weeks passed with little or no change. Then we discovered that he was allergic to gluten. After we changed his diet, he immediately improved. Today he sits just inside the door of our gluten free bakery and welcomes all the customers who come there to buy wheat and dairy-free natural foods for their precious 4-legged friends.
