We lost our Duffy Doodles on 7/17/08. She would have been 17 years old in October 2008. She came to us at the age of 9 weeks from a rescue organization (best $45.00 I ever spent). She had been found at age 3 weeks in a sack atop a pile of trash in an empty lot. Had a passerby not heard her crying, I shudder to think what would have happened to her. She gave us many years of happiness and love. She was a Papillon/Shetland Sheepdog/terrier mix. Beautiful face. We knew her as Duffy Doodles, Tuffy Duff, the Silly Girl, Tuffer Duffer. I often catch myself looking for her always-smiling/laughing face. Then I realize she is no longer with us...and I feel my eyes filling with tears.

Thank you all for your kind comments. She would have made a great therapy dog. Kids loved her. She was so sweet and we miss her terribly.

So sorry for your loss. Sweet Duffy was beautiful!!! I don't understand how anyone could just throw a living creature out in the trash. It sounds like she had a wonderful life full of love with you and for that I thank you.Her beautiful love and her memories will always be a part of you.

Wow - what a menagerie of pups you've had/have. They all sound like they are so loved & cared for & that's what having a pet is all about. You sound like my idea of a great dog owner/companion.
