All in the Family

Biography: This is Dutch. He is the old man at our shelter and many of us call him Grandpa. He is a male yellow Lab and Pit Bull mix, about 70lbs, and 14 years old. Despite his advanced age, Dutch is healthy and energetic. He loves going out on walks and with Spring approaching, Dutch has a bounce to his step. He is perfectly housetrained, a great walker, and an all around easygoing dude. He is best friends here with Molly, actually, she is his younger girlfriend (she's half his age!). They love to cuddle together. In fact, all of the volunteers at the shelter love to cuddle with Dutch. He puts everyone in a really good mood and you can feel the positive energy that comes from this canine Zen Master. He is looking for a quiet and warm home (without steps) to spend his final years. He's gone a long time without. He's been at our shelter over 2 years and was brought here, because the city agency rescued him from an empty lot. We also think he'd be fine with cats.
