My husband and I rescued "Festus" as a puppy. He had been abandoned in the desert and someone turned him into their local shelter. I think he is more English Shepherd than anything else, but my husband believes he is Border Collie/Aust Shepherd Mix. We named him after "Festus" from Gunsmoke b/c he is such a quirky little fellow. We are thankful everyday that we rescued him. Him and his big sister "Casi" are quite a pair of fun-loving dogs! However, since he is part shepherd/collie, he keeps me on a schedule! He is also quite a character when he knows it's bedtime and will give me single barks to tell me it's time. Festus loves to be loved, so how could I ask for anything more?
