Guinevere came to us as a rescue foster. She had been thrown from a moving car and was terribly shy. She bonded well with our other two shepherds, but was terribly afraid (naturally) of humans. That first afternoon we brought the dogs inside. She looked at me as I sat on the sofa. Resolutely, she walked over to the sofa, jumped up and put her head in my lap. She let out a huge sigh and I immediately knew that she would never be a foster - she was home.
