We got our Beagle at the beginning of August 2008. We hadn't planned to go looking 'til the end of summer, but the circumstances that brought us and our new pup together were too coincidental to ignore. It was as if it was meant to be. It's been 3 weeks now, and he loves his new home. His name is "Halen", and yes, he's named after the band Van Halen. He's made of 98% good dog, but he has his defiant moments. He's learned to sit, and play partial fetch (he seems to think we're playing "chase it, then leave it"), and he's currently working on housebreaking. He's been a relatively quick learner so far though, and is fast becomming protective of his new home.
