Harvey was a very special dog for me. We rescued him at 10 months old after hearing about his predicament. We have been through so much together and he has helped me as much as I would like to think that I helped him. He was 'out of control' when we got him. ( not his fault as he never had anyone to guide him ) But it was not too late at 10 months old and we gradually built up a bond between us. Eventually he grew to love and respect us as we loved and respected him. He suffered numerous health problems during his time with us, most stress related due to his past. Sadly we lost him due to suspected Dilated Cardiomyopathy when he was out for a walk in the fields one day. I still have not got over him even though we have a lovely boy Frankie with us now. Had dogs all my life but there was something about Harvey that was 'different' Our bond was so strong and he truly was a once in a lifetime dog. As the quote says, " It is better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all" Love you Harv xx
