All in the Family

Biography: This is my oldest Dog Honey Pie. We found her in the paper and went and picked her up when she was only six months old. I instantly fell in love with her, as she is a gentle giant. When we had her for about a year, we lived in the country here in Arkansas and one of our neighbors did not like sweet honey, and decided to take out her frustrations on our dog, with a shot gun. She was shot once in her right ankle, instantly shattering her bone. We are lucky she made it back to our house, as we then rushed her to the vet. We fought with the decision of having to put her down since we didn't think that we could afford to help her otherwise... We couldn't bear to do it, So, her back right leg was amputated and every day I thank my lucky stars she is still with us! She is now 6 years old, and one of the most happy healthy tri-pods you will ever meet. She is momma dog to our other younger dogs and rules the house, but we wouldn't have it any other way!
