All in the Family

Biography: Hi everyone! My name is Hunter and I am a 4 year old Chocolate Lab. I live in Texas. My family adopted me when I was 6 weeks old, a little early but I turned out great. When I first came home my family had a Boxer named Cinnamon I always used to play with, but sadly..Cinnamon passed away when I turned 2. I am a very friendly dog, I greet everybody with a smile and a wag of the tail! Though I can be very protective of my family if I feel that someone will hurt them. I have lots of human friends, and dog friends too. I have a friend named Bailey, a Maltese, Chipper, a Mixed Breed and Charlotte, a German Shepherd. I play with them all the time when I go down to the park. I've been told I'm a very obedient dog, I know over 45 tricks! Ranging from the basic "sit" to the "Dance", I will do anything for a good treat. I like jumping for treats, when someone has one I sometimes can jump so high as to reach their face! My favorites are Sweet Potato & Fish treats and Milk Bones. My mommy trained me to balance treats on my nose-and I patiently wait for a command before eating them. I can also balance my Frisbee, bones and other things on my head and nose. I'm very full of energy, when I'm outside I love running laps around the yard. My mommy makes make-shift obstacle courses for me, and I love running them! I also like going for a walk in the Forest and up the hills. Since it's basically always hot here in Texas, when I get tired and hot I like getting small licks of Vanilla ice cream or lapping up water from a Water Bottle. Though I have energy, I still love to be a cuddle-bug and snuggle up on the Sofa with my mommy. I always have this funny thing I do--I arrange the pillows the way I want them before laying down! I love getting my belly rubbed too, every time someone goes to pet me I instinctively turn over on my back for a tummy rub! I also competed in Dockdogs in February, and my best jump was 8 feet, 10 inches! I'm a fun-loving guy and I am happy to be in my forever home!
