Thank you, DobeWoman and jasper1, for your kind words. Jack was a beautiful dog, what with his blocky head shape and his soft muscled body. He made for the best pillow. I miss waking up to his handsome face in the morning and telling him to complete his favourite and most adorable command, "Clap." He was so intelligent and devoted to me. The only thing I regret is not getting the professional training help for him sooner. He'd have been a wonderful dog for the next 10 or even 15 years if only I'd noticed something wrong sooner. I cherish the memories I have of him, but am still unable to speak of my beautiful little Jackalaka Bing without tearing up.

He really was a beautiful dog and I'm so sorry for your loss.It's always hard to lose a friend we love so much.He knew he was loved,even if he did only stay a while.And one day he'll be waiting for you.
