Jasper, brought so much joy to our lives, in the short time he was with this world. He really acted like he had a lot to do, and not much time to do it in. He was devastatingly, shockingly and suddenly, taken from us last May, he was lost to cancer. I was so blessed, to have had the honor of being his Mom, for the 7 years he was with us. I have yet to see such a gentle animal to this day. At 70lbs. he would take his milk bone, into his two front paws, and nibble off each bite with his front teeth, slowly, chewing and savoring each bite. We have 1 litter of Jack Russell Terrier puppies a year, and from day 1, each and every 1 of those puppies, were drawn to and adored him and he adored all of them just as much or more. He never got impatient, frustrated or tired of loving, cuddling, protecting and entertaining, these, tiny, little balls of energy, noise and teeth, he truly loved every minute. I feel that it wouldn't be right to keep his beautiful memory all to myself, this is a rare beauty that must be shared with the world. I will also be starting a charity in his honor in 2009 to pay for emergency vet care for families, or any dog owners, who may not be able to afford the care needed, because, the real tragedy, would be, to let our beautiful boy, die in vain.
