Jasper is an eleven-year-old true-blue best-friend kind of dog. We adopted him from a shelter when he was about two years old; his Petfinder posting described him as a "large teddy bear" and that's exactly what he turned out to be. His ancestry is a mystery but we think it includes Border Collie and something bigger, perhaps St. Bernard or Newfoundland. Jasper loves everyone he meets and he enjoys entertaining people with his many tricks. He's calm and undemanding but when he just needs some attention, he rolls onto his back, raises one front leg straight in the air and waves his paw until someone realizes it's belly-rub time!
