Jay is in a foster home, & is currently not at the shelter. Please find contact information below. Hello, my name is Jay - but it should be "Hello Handsome" since that's what everyone says when they take a look at me. I'm a one year old pit bull who's looking for a family to cuddle up on the couch with when I'm not busy playing a game of tug or ball with you. According to my foster mother I also have some mad obedience skills. I've got sit and down nearly mastered, and I'll bet with practice I could learn a whole lot more. It's really important for me to spend time in school so that I can live up to my potential as both a beauty king and a smarty pants! I'm a lot of dog so I probably shouldn't be with small kids, but I'd be great with your bigger humans. I love my foster dog brother - a super sassy chihuahua who likes to give me the business. I respect his space so I'm pretty sure I'd do well with another dog in the house - as long as you have plenty of experience having a multi dog household or know a whole lot about pittys. Look at me - I'm just about as cute as can be and I'm really a loving, silly, boy who just wants a permanent home to fall in love with. A cushy bed - yours or mine :) and some good food, water, and lots of games to play are all I need to be a happy camper. Remember, I am smart - so I need regular exercise for both my body and my brain - hopefully you believe in higher education and maybe dog sports too - like frisbee or agility or even fun nosework or rally! There are so many possibilities of things we can do together - but first you've got to fill out the application and let the shelter sniff you over, and then hopefully you can come and meet me! I'm waiting for you and I'll be doing a nice sit when you show up - please bring cookies :) ! See you soon. Jay If you don't have Pit Bull breed experience, please do some research before inquiring. Some great resources include Pit Bull Rescue Central (PBRC) and BAD RAP . Please note that Pit Bulls do best as either an only dog, or, with a compatible dog of the opposite sex, in the home. Thanks!
