Julien was a precious staffy/whippet cross we rescued after he was found abandoned and beaten. He gave us and our first precious pup, Gemma, so much love it was amazing. He loved anyone who would love him back and was fearlessly social with other dogs, regardless of size - and he was never attacked. He was just too sweet. We lost him to cancer when he was just 4 years old(the beating he had taken as a pup caused cancerous tumours all through his poor little body). Dog Watch, a dog rescue organisation in Christchurch where we were living, made us take our next rescue, Gessie, the same day Julien passed away - urgent they said - she certainly helped as we grieved for Julien. Kudos to Dog Watch for all they do. (Please read Julien's life story on my blog writingzme.wordpress.com - A Dog's Tail -).
