Kristin is a 1 year old Dachshund/mixed breed. She is from Puerto Rico where she was a "throwaway dog" at the age of 6 months, left on the streets to fend for herself. As she was being beaten up by the bigger dogs, some kind soul brought her to the local animal shelter where she received food and health care and was then flown to the US for adoption. I saw her photo on petfinder and fell instantly in love! Kristin is the best pooch EVER! She has quickly integrated with Belle and Dolly, loves our daily hikes and wading in the pond out back, and adores gnawing on a good marrow bone. She is sweet and loving and although it's only been a few months since she's entered my life, I can't imagine life without her!

Kristin is beautiful. Thank God someone saved her from what would surely be death. I'm sure she is thankful and will reward you many times over. Keep her safe and happy. She deserves the best.

Kristin, you are TOO adorable (and prob bi-lingual too!) I have to tell your Mommy that she must be a wonderful person to rescue you and all your siblings. Kristin, dog lovers are the BEST people...looks like you got the best home ever. So happy your safe lil sweetie.

I cried reading about Kristen's life. How sad for all those other dogs w/o homes! I wish I had room for them all! Thank you for rescuing this lovely lady! She is adorable! So glad she is now enjoying the "good life" with so much love & companionship! Have a great & wonderful life with your forever family, Kristen!
