Now that's the same look that I always used to see on the faces of our newfies! Lewis reminds me of my old family when I was a kid :)

That red fur... our newf, Selena, had a lot of red in her fur. In her case, it was because she had Cushing's disease. I hope Lewis isn't suffering from whatever is turning his fur red.

Suggestion: newfies LOVE to swim! Especially in this hot weather, one of the nicest things you can do for Lewis is take him to a lake somewhere where he can swim. You might go swimming with him too, so he can "rescue" you.... or toss some tennis balls into the water for him to fetch. If our newfies were still around, the whole pack of them would love to play with Lewis. Honey, Buppy, Selena, Joey, Shaina, Blaze, and Thumper. (Buppy wouldn't swim though; she liked to stay dry).

Thank you newfieluvr and everyone else for so many nice comments. Lewis loves everyone and licked my fac when he saw all my comments about him. Everyone knows no matter how much you love that dog that dog will always be you best friend for life.
