All in the Family
Cricket Zoey

Shih Tzu

Before I met Libby, I NEVER allowed a dog in my house. Libby was so sweet and cuddly I couldn't say "no" to her. She was 6 weeks old in 1994 when my husband bought her for his daughter. In 2001, Libby's life husband and his now ex-wife got divorced and "the ex" got Libby in the divorce. We were allowed to babysit occasionally. On December 23, 2004, I accidentally found out that "the ex" had given Libby away in September 2004!! My husband said he didn't tell me because HE was so upset about it. He loved Libby very much. That very evening, I found out where Libby lived, called her "new" family and offered to buy her back or buy them another puppy. They were really nice people and said that I could come get her. My husband had NO idea what I was up to!! So, on Christmas Eve morning, I went and picked her up. As soon as I got home with her, I had our grown children (his and mine)come over. We all tiptoed into the bedroom where my husband was still sleeping. I sat Libby on the bed and she immediately went to him and started licking him in the ear. He woke up and saw "the dog" and exclaimed "Oh, you got me a pu..........Libby!!!!!!!!!!" His expression and their love for one another brought a tear to ALL of our eyes. Libby lived with us until we sadly had to "let her go" in March of 2008. It was time. We still miss her badly but know she is not hurting anymore.

What a wonderful story. These puppies that just work their way into our lives & hearts are so special. I'm sorry Libby has left you, but enjoy the "new" ones just as much. They are loving little dogs-we never imagined our Oscar would be so loving & loved.
