Lucy came to our house in the summer 2009, during a thunderstorm and rang our doorbell.... literally. We later saw her do it again two more times. She's just the right height when she jumped up on the door she hits the door bell with her paw. I tried in vain to locate her owner and for months to find her a good home on a farm or acreage but to no avail. Now she's wheedled her way into hearts. I've always been a herding dog owner and fan so this little hound dog has been a rude awakening for me.:-) She is soooo full of energy and her hunting drive. is incredible. The dog park has been a blessing and she LOVES it. She's very social and knows everyone both 2 and 4 legged.... Everyone loves her. She should be in "sales" she could support me in my "golden years". Ha! With her love of people and vice versa I hope to take her to therapy dog training in the future. She's a mystical dog and draws people to her. Neighbors come out of their houses or stop their cars to come and greet her when they see us out walking! She's a rock star in the community! **5.03.11 - Lucy had x-rays at the vet for a bladder infection AND she has 22 caliber slug lodged in her flank!! The vet and I were both shocked! Poor baby no wonder she's terrified of thunder, gun shots, and fireworks!! I'm so thankful she found me!
