Lucy 1990 to 2005 - Border Collie - Lab - Aussie - Woman's Best Friend. Lucy was my first dog, and one of the worlds greatest companions. The day I visited the Humane Society to get Lucy, I was actually interested in a different dog. As I walked through the kennels, my best friend who had accompanied me, commented, that there was a dog starring intently at me, several kennels back. As I approached, Lucy stood on her hind legs, and starred at me with her soul piercing gaze. Well, that was it! She had a great life, lots of walks, and many fishing - camping - and hiking trips in Canada. I will miss her always, and even now I get a little teary-eyed thinking about what a wonderful girl she was. I look forward to seeing her sweet face when she greets me at rainbow brige.
